Hybrid setups: Use two different strings in your racquet (one for mains, one for crosses) for a mix of control, spin, and durability. Ask for pricing details.
String Types:
Polyester - Durable, hard, and spin-friendly. Ideal for players who swing big and want control, but can be harsh on the arm.
Multifilament - Soft and arm-friendly. Offers power and comfort, mimicking natural gut; however, it tends to fray and is less durable than polyester.
Synthetic Gut - Affordable and versatile. Great for all-around play and very reliable, though it doesn't excel in any one specific performance area.
Natural Gut - Premium string with excellent feel, power, and comfort. It offers the best performance but is expensive and sensitive to moisture.
Gauge: String thickness varies from 15 (thickest) to 18 (thinnest). Thicker strings offer more durability while thinner strings offer more bite (spin and power) on the ball. Most players use a 16G or 17G string.
Tension: Higher tensions offer more control with a shorter dwell time and a lower launch angle. Lower tensions offer more power with a longer dwell time and a higher launch angle. String tension can vary from 20–80 lbs, with most players stringing around 45-55 lbs.
